Education and Knowledge
This novel has a very broad theme of knowledge. It shows good and bad in in aspects of education and what can come from it. For Victor, his knowledge he received was not all good. Victor used his knowledge for something he did not expect and many consequences were made. On the other hand, there is Henry who traveled in order to gain knowledge for himself in his studies. The creature also educated himself in the novel through various ways, but mostly by watching others. The three characters all had so much motivation to learn, but not all the knowledge received did good for the characters such as Victor and the creature.

Responsibility and Consequences
The theme of taking responsibility and the consequences for one's actions are most represented in the two characters, Victor and the creature. Starting with Victor who looked away multiple times from his actions caused much harm. If Victor would have taken responsibility and took care of the creature or gotten rid of him at the start, it would have changed the whole story. There would have been much less consequences for Victor and his family. Victor had many opportunities to change or fix what he had done, but he put it off. The creature also had opportunities to change too. He did not control his anger when he chose to murder and ran after murdering and put others in the blame. Death was the consequences of both their actions.
